  1. Dreams Says:

Why can’t these geek tshirts have just a little touch of design. It would be so much better.

  2. Adam Payne Says:

Those are awesome. The php shirt and geeks do it with more ram are my favorites. But really, there is no place like 127.0.0.1

  3. xkcdfan Says:

Please give credit to the comic in shirt “Give me a few pointers.” The comic is xkcd, at xkcd.net. if you like nerd jokes, you should definitely check it out.

  4. samotr Says:

“Real programmers use “COPY CON FILENAME.EXE”

  5. bunny got blog Says:

This is totally amazing and funny. Great and I mean great job!!!

  6. jakz Says:

Why is it that people think a source has to be listed in order to post the work? It would be fair use with or without attribution which doesn’t matter either way for xkcd.net because the copyrighted material on the page belongs to a T-SHIRT company.

  7. Giovanni Says:

Pretty Hot Programmer and conversion of caffeine into code are my favs.

  8. will Says:

I don’t know if an xkcd shoutout is *required* but it is very relevant to those who found that joke funny. Much more laughs to be had.

  9. Craig Says:

    My Favourite is:

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand Binary, and those that don’t 🙂

  10. André Faria Gomes Says:

    Very Funny! :.)

  11. Smith Says:

These are all awful. As quotes and sayings on a website, sure, these might have been alright – but that doesn’t mean anyone’s ever going to want to wear them on a T-Shirt.

Especially not one that looks like it was done in mspaint.

  12. sheep's me2DAY Says:

    Tolchi의 느낌…

    Best Programmer T-Shirts…

  13. Hat Says:

Um, way to rip off a bunch of T-Shirt designs from Thinkgeek.com
Some of these designs are original, but many are just plagiarized from other, more successful, geek-wear companies.
Originality sells, try it some time.

  14. Moof Says:

    >Um, way to rip off a bunch of T-Shirt designs from Thinkgeek.com

…which are ripoffs of designs from Programmer Gear.

Most of these phrases have been around for decades. About the only thing truly original is the XKCD comic. But they all still make me laugh.

  15. timm Says:

I thought it was pretty obvious that these are T-shirts produced by another company (Zazzle). I could’ve chosen ThinkGeek or ProgrammerGear, but Zazzle has nice big photos that show up well in the article.

If you are looking for originality, perhaps you should go to CafePress and make your own designs. If you come up with something good, LMK, I’d be glad to show it here.

  16. Gino Says:

    haha. Some real classics there.
    I like, There’s no place like ….

    You should add one there:

    echo Hello World

  17. Buttoned-Up.com Says:

    Nice collection!

  18. jsled Says:

Yeah, an XKCD “shout-out” is required, though the license XKCD is provided under calls it “attribution”, as in “by-attribution, non-commercial” .

  19. Bracepeth Says:

    01010100 01101000 01101111 01110011 01100101 00100000 01110111 01100101 01110010 01100101 00100000 01100110 01110101 01101110 01101110 01111001 00101110

  20. mox Says:

while I’m not sure about the xkcd “shout out”, the website is http://www.xkcd.com, not .net 😛

  21. Charles Says:

If you’re in Canada you can make these and more at wordans.com
They’ll look better too… I love the MSPaint diss.

Also, some of the quotes are cheesy.
Here’s my favorite quote not here:
“Documentation is like sex: when it is good, it is very, very good; and when it is bad, it is better than nothing.” -Dick Brandon

  22. fuchsto Says:

God, those prhases are old, or bad, or both.

  23. navynasa Says:

I don’t care. I was amused by the website and that’s all.

  24. Khyati Says:

they are really cute.. loved the definition of our species the most..

  26. raican Says:

Awesome. I had to think briefly about the Halloween/Christmas thing. I LOL’d at ASCII stupid question, but my fav is the xkcd.net cartoon.

Very Nice, thanks for a mid-afternoon chuckle.

  27. Alexander Says:

    From xkcd.com :

Can we print xkcd in our magazine/newspaper/other publication?

If it’s a not-for-profit publication, you need no permission — just print them with attribution to xkcd.com. If it’s a for-profit operation, I will probably give you permission if you email me to let me know. You can post xkcd in your blog (whether ad-supported or not) with no need to get my permission.

    http://xkcd.com/about/

So if you use if then please respect the original request for attribution!

  28. timm Says:

I appreciate all the discussion about attribution for XKCD (one of my favorite web comics), but hopefully you all notice the link is there.

  29. T.L.O Says:

When you write assembler you don’t have to say it cant be done.

  30. Code Dragon Says:

Haha. I love the PHP one. xD

And the RTFM one.. classic. xD

  31. J S Says:

These t-shirts are really bad. Very unfunny — even for a tech person.

  32. Vince Says:

    >These t-shirts are really bad. Very unfunny — even for a tech person.

I’m glad I don’t work with you! Zero sense of humor. Or too dumb to get the jokes.

  33. igrewold Says:

127.0.0.1 is not home it is localhost!

However Home in linux is ~

    So it should read:

There is no place like ~

  34. Girish Mahajan Says:

“My Life Starts with 0 and Ends With 1”

    Howz that !!!!

  35. Ömür UÇUM Says:

I tried to change the world, but I couldn’t find the source code

This is the best word to explain what a programmer thing. This is the line of vision to the world.

    Thanks

  36. sunny71 Says:

as for the comment on the geek t-shirt,,, well honey, it is the geeks whom helped develop computers and all the amazing software for u’r cyber experience. do not complain about the style of the programmer, zip u’r lip and create your unique idea for the shirt of u’r choice,, if you do not like what u c, down load sudo rm-rf/ and the problem will no longer be around…
    the end !!!

  38. xkcdfanatic Says:

What a joke. The Pointers shirt is an xkcd comic. xkcd is licensed under the Creative Commons license which means that it CANNOT be reproduced for sale without EXPLICIT permission from the author. And I very much doubt that Randall Munroe would give permission for someone else to sell a shirt of his comic when he all ready has quite a nice store going on http://store.xkcd.com

Guys, if you’re going to buy ANY of the shirts on here, know that you’re supporting illegal actions, such as profiting off of a copyrighted comic.

  39. Another xkcd fan Says:

    >And I very much doubt that Randall Munroe would give permission for someone else to sell a shirt of his comic when he all ready has quite a nice store

Yeah, it looks like Zazzle pulled the xkcd t-shirt. Thanks DevTopics for bringing this matter to our attention (even though it wasn’t your intention 😉
